Thankfully not. But FOX News has learnt a worthwhile lesson today - secure your social media accounts.
Earlier this morning, one of its Twitter accounts was hacked and used to spread the news that President Obama had been shot dead in Iowa.
The hackers, calling themselves the 'Scriptkiddies', broke into the account a few hours ago and have been wreaking havoc ever since with a variety of tweets around the subject. The news is obviously false as it doesn't appear anywhere else, but the fact it's remained there for the past few hours shows poor security and bad management on FOX's part. This kind of thing can really damage a company's reputation, and it's even worse for a business built on credibility like a news channel.
At this time (11.04 GMT) the tweets remain. There has been no statement from FOX on when the issue will be resolved, or what measures they'll take to secure things further in future.
